SINANO-ICOS Workshop: Challenges in Advanced Computing and Functionalities
The workshop “Challenges in Advanced Computing & Functionalities”, for International Cooperation in the field of Semiconductors will take place in Athens, on May 13-14th, 2024 during the EUROSOI-ULIS Conference.
It will present the preliminary ICOS results and hold discussions on the Generic Needs and Challenges for International Cooperation on Semiconductors.
The event is jointly organised with ICOS, the SINANO Institute and IEEE-EDS, in the framework of the 2024 EUROSOI-ULIS Conference in Athens on May 13-14th.
Registrations Free but Mandatory by April 30.
Preliminary programme:
Day 1
– Skills Shortage Session, with the European Chips Skills Academy, ALLPRO, Fraunhofer, IEEE initiative presentations
– Presentation of the final ICOS results on Economic analysis of the EU and international semiconductor ecosystems by Léo St Martin – Decision Etudes Conseil
Day 2
– Introduction and Presentation of the results of the ICOS Survey, by Francis Balestra, ICOS coordinator
– Presentation of the preliminary ICOS results on International technology Highlights on Advanced Functionalities (Fraunhofer – VTT)
– Presentation of the preliminary ICOS results on International technology Highlights on Advanced Computing (CEA-imec)
– Presentation of the White Paper on Generic Needs and Challenges for International Cooperation in the semiconductor field (Ugent)
– The afternoon session is jointly organised with the INPACE project and will be dedicated to international speakers from India, US, Singapore and Japan covering the Advanced Node, Heterogeneous Integration & Packaging, Advanced Materials and Photonics
SiNANO Academy – 10th Modelling, Simulation and Technology Summer School
The 10th Modelling, Simulation and Technology Summer School is a biannual comprehensive set of classes aimed at PhD, Postdoc researchers, junior academics, as well as modelling, simulation and technology experts in industry. The programme is part of the SiNANO Academy which organises lectures, tutorials, advanced discussion groups…
Participants will expand and refine their knowledge of the modelling, simulation and technology of cutting-edge semiconductor devices, with the world’s leading device modelling, simulation and technology experts. The need for advanced modelling, simulation and technology will be motivated by lectures on extremely scaled and novel Nano electronic devices covering the More Moore, More Than Moore and Beyond Moore domains.
- The Summer school includes a poster session.

- A special session IEEE MQ “Simulation and Technology on Emerging Devices” will be organized the day prior to training.
EuroSOI-ULIS Conference 2024
The 10th Joint EuroSOI Workshop and International Conference on Ultimate Integration on Silicon – 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗦𝗢𝗜-𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 – will take place on May 15-17th 2024 in Glyfada, in Greece. You can already submit your papers!
